With 25 years of experience, Miguel Linares is a founding partner of Linares Abogados and he currently advises financial institutions, as both a lawyer and independent external consultant.
He has developed his career in different companies and firms.
In the years before the foundation of the firm, he worked for the Cuatrecasas Gonsalves Pereira banking and financial institutions law group as an advisor on the regulation of financial institutions in general, specifically advising on new product distribution channels, relationships with the supervising authorities, consumer lending, processes of business formation, payment procedures and sanctions proceedings.
He has also excelled in his work in foreign trade, in close collaboration with ICEX (Spanish Foreign Trade Institute). His role has been essential not only to the internationalisation of Spanish companies, but also to the introduction of foreign companies in Spain.
He has a degree in law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (CEU) and holds an LLM in international banking and financial law from Boston University.
